Pumpkin Sculptures - Page 4

I carve out deep lines between all my shapes retracing the original sketch that I made on the pumpkin.
Your pumpkin should start looking like the one to the right once the eyes; nose and mouth have been outlined.

Rounding off the edges

The next step is to start creating some depth between the different parts of the face.  Using a medium loop tool gently start carving away the corners of the cats mouth.

Tip:  When you carve the corners of the mouth you want to create a 45 degree angled slope.

I repeat this step for the other areas of the mouth.  I also carve away the skin under the nose so that my catís mouth starts having a rounded look to it.

Rounding out the eyes

I next move onto the eyes repeating the same steps that I used for the mouth.  The goal here is to round out each of the facial features.
